Review:
Entice is the 3rd book of the 'Need' series and begins smoothly from where the 2nd book left out. The Protagonist goes through her journey to retrieve her lost boyfriend who happens to be a werewolf from a land where warriors go to be one of the Gods warriors.
The book surprises the reader with its sudden in counters with mythology. It seemed like Jones had nothing more to write and just decided to throw in a little mythology. The book seemed too fast-paced and hasty also exaggerated and sometimes silly (like literal white bunnies and rainbows).
By mid-book things started to really get hasty. Zara, the protagonist is faced with obstacles while trying to find the location of the land of the Gods and in the process she makes bad choices. Amazing how foolishly she believes.
Despite the book being in first person, the book fails to connect the reader to the heroine and is mostly likely to connect with the secondary characters more.
Though Entice had its flaws, Readers will definitely enjoy reading the book. The ending was exciting and a great way to end yet another book in this 4 part series and to be honest it didn't leave a very good cliff hanger which I'm sure readers won't mind so much so they won't be so impatient waiting for the final book to arrive. To end this review, Jones managed to write herself an adventure filled book that keeps you reading enough to be entertained. Unputdownable!
P.S. My review on Passion by Lauren Kate was published on our local newspaper again. Yay! I'm so happy.
*spoilers*
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. Along the line of the rainbows and bunnies there was the fact that her dad got swallowed up by a monster. Can we say what!?! I'm certainly not very excited for the fourth book. I think that we have just gotten so far from where we started with the cool mysterious pixies to mythology and rainbows! It really is sad the turns this series has taken.
