About the Author

Meredith Wild picked up her first romance novel at the tender age of twelve, and shortly after put pen to word processor and made her first attempt at writing a love story inspired by those she so enjoyed reading well past her bedtime. Her dream of writing took a back seat to college, parenthood and eventually entrepreneurship, which led her into the fast-paced and male-dominated high tech industry. With enough life experience for a few lifetimes, she now devotes her hours to writing contemporary adult romance, with a hint of kink. Her debut novel Hardwired tells the story of billionaire bad boy, Blake Landon, and the object of his obsession, strong-willed tech startup CEO, Erica Hathaway. When she isn’t writing or mothering, Meredith can be found sunbathing with an adult beverage.

Book Playlist: Addicted to You (Addicted #1) by Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie

We’re attracted to music with great beats, rhythm and beautiful (often poetic) lyrics. Some of the songs below we listened to as we were writing the book, but others remind us of Addicted to You when it shuffles through our iPods. We’ve included our favorite lyrics for the first five songs. Here’s the list!

1.    “Pasadena” by Modern Skirts (This band is near and dear to our hearts. They originate from Athens, GA and just played their last concert ever at Athfest. This song will tug your heartstrings, no lie.) Best Lines: I've been taking so much care of her, and I'm sick  / Now who takes care of me, oh / I've been thinking maybe I should jump in the sink / And swim right down the drain whole

2.    “Trembling Hands” by The Temper Trap. Best Lines: So throw me a line / Somebody out there help me / I'm on my own / I'm on my own / Throw me a line / Afraid that I have come here / To win you again / With trembling hands

3.    “Wildest Moments” by Jessie Ware. Best Lines: You and I, blurred lines / We come together every time / Too wrongs, no rights / We lose ourselves at night

4.    “On the Rocks” by Grieves. Best Lines: All of this will hold you  / Down onto the ground until you’re crawlin’ on the gravel  / Like a regular guy / Oh all of this will hold you, down onto the ground  / Until you’re drowning in your sorrows with a bottle of rye

5.    “Gloria” by Laura Branigan. Best Lines: Gloria, you're always on the run now / Running after somebody, you gotta get him somehow / I think you've got to slow down before you start to blow it  / I think you're headed for a breakdown, so be careful not to show it

6.    “Lose Your Soul” by Dead Man’s Bones (Ryan Gosling’s band)

7.     “Animal” by Miike Snow

8.    “Let It Go” by Fossil Collective

9.    “Two Fingers” by Jake Bugg

10.    “Lost in My Mind” by The Head and the Heart

Addicted to You (Addicted #1)
Release Date: 07/01/13

Summary from Goodreads:
No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But when they go on a family boat trip, surrounded by open seas and limited male bodies in sight, Lily’s confronted with a big fear. Only one guy onboard can fill her addiction, and she’s sworn off going there with Loren Hale ever again.

Now the only person who can truly help her can barely help himself.

**This is a New Adult book recommended for readers 18 and up**

STRONG ENOUGH (Amazon | Barnes and Noble)
Publication date: February 25th, 2013
Publisher: Ellen Harger
Author: Ellen Harger (blog | Twitter | Goodreads)

Starting over is hard.

And sometimes, you have to burn a few bridges to do it.

Whitney Brown is average--average intelligence, average height, average weight--but she wants to be someone new. To kick-start her rebirth, she wears formal mourning, a black veil and vintage dress, to a wedding in her hometown, Woods Cross, a community that treasures family values. Is it an attack on marriage or has she just gone bonkers?

Emboldened but lacking a plan, she forces her foot in the door of a radio station in Sundown. A small metropolis of nearly 150,000, Sundown is a notch of urban flair along the Midwest's Bible Belt.

Getting in proves to be the easy part and the anonymity of being a DJ suits her well. But off air (and in person), Whitney must stand up to Sadi, an angry feminist and the bane of her college years while an old friendship with her former roommate, Leah, devolves around a guy.

It's 2002 and the Midwest radio scene is changing. Just as Whitney hits her groove, the radio station undergoes its own identity crisis. But what rocks Whitney to her core is the moment the condom breaks. Her abstinence only background leaves her embarrassed and facing a difficult choice.

ELLEN HARGER
Ellen Harger was born at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. As a military brat, she moved often during her childhood--something she never resented and continued as an adult. The constant starting over influenced her first published novel, "Strong Enough."

At 14, her family settled in Missouri as civilians, permitting Ellen to attend one high school. She stayed in the Midwest to attend a small liberal arts college, studying creative writing and art. After 11 years, she moved to Boston. While there, she continued to study creative writing in Cambridge. Ever willing to explore new places, she moved next to the San Francisco Bay area. After 11 years away, and loving the symmetry, she returned to the Midwest to finish "Strong Enough." She has published a poem, "Guidelines," and released her novel as an e-book.

Chemical warfare has obliterated most of the world, including America, and the survivors have turned into feral beasts, save one colony, Antius, the last remnant of civilization. Seventeen-year-old Cori (aka Citizen 1206) only longs for wide open spaces and freedom. But Antius has no use for such things, just mindless drones to serve in a place with walls, fences, and laws. A lot of laws, which Cori constantly breaks. So she’s spent years plotting her escape, which is the only thing that will save her from the colony’s deranged leader, Nathan. She isn’t looking to be a hero, and she certainly isn’t looking to fall in love, but she just might do both.

Book Playlist: By the Sword by Sara Flower

(Click the image above for the tour schedule)

Hey guys! Today, I present to you a wonderful book by my friend Sara Flower. I have yet to read the book (I need to get my own copy) but judging from the synopsis it sure sounds exciting! I've got the book excerpt and the playlist Sara was listening to while writing the book (Well, I hope it is). ENJOY!

Title: By the Sword (Ebook)
Author: Sara Flower
Genre: Fantasy, Young-adult
Publisher: Violet Sword Publishing
Pages: 240
Amazon
Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Talya's main goal is to bring down the Malinorian Empire. And Jalarn, the empire's prodigy general, is at the top of her list of enemies to kill. Not only has Jalarn murdered Talya's king, he's almost killed her. Twice.

But things don't go as Talya planned when a visiting prophet sends her on a mission to the highly feared Hunter Forest. It is there that she must gain the allegiance of the forest's inhabitants before Jalarn and his men do.

Then, memories of a haunting vision resurface when Talya comes face to face with Jalarn. She makes a rash decision that sends her down a path she never imagined she would follow.

Jalarn could sense that the sword maiden was in the forest. The feeling had intensified after he had finished his meal. He left his men to their games and walked through the dark forest in search of her. She was most likely there to sway the giants’ allegiance before he got to them – the fool. It would be the last time that she would get in his way. She would not escape him this time.

“Show me where she is, lord. I will not fail to kill her for you this time.”

Jalarn’s eyes adjusted to the dimly lit woods. He would find her. He would not sleep until her blood soaked the ground.

He came to a clearing. No sign of her. He backed up and went the other way. He found one set of human tracks. They were definitely not a giant’s. He followed them. It had to be her foot prints. No one would choose to enter that place alone unless they were crazy or forced to.

Why had she come to Hunter Forest by herself? She was asking for death being in the same forest as him. Like a hungry predator stalking his prey, Jalarn knew that he would soon kill her. And then he could finally forget about her.
